Ahhhhh, my Anglepoise Lamp obsession is returning!! I think it’s probably about time I started my search for another one. I’m not so keen on getting brand new ones (although I do have one) I like the charm of the old ones, and I especially want a wall mounted one! Anyone out there have one?! Please.

What with the weather being above 10 degrees celcius, I’ve been feeling quite summery! Being an excitable child at heart, I immediately start thinking about all the cool games the summer brings with it. I thought I’d make a quirky sky blue poster displaying ‘the balls of summer’ to reflect the lovely british summer-ness! Enjoy whilst imagining a cocktail in your hand, the scent of sun cream and the sound of flip flops flippety floppeting!

Seems like forever since I’ve posted a blog, what with all the lovely bank holidays recently! Slightly different post today - a sneak peak from my Moleskine Notebook.

When a new project comes in I head to my sketchbook to jot down ideas and preliminary sketches. Some prefer to do everything on the computer, but sometimes I just feel a bit more natural with a pencil.

Here are some preliminary sketches and details from the series of birmingham based posters - as seen in the Created in Birmingham Shop - that I created. They aren’t anything special but I think they house a certain sense of charm!

Enjoy.

As you are probably aware, I have a certain soft spot for most things retro/vintage/shabby chic… whatever you want to call it. In particular, old packaging labels.

So… I’ve had a bit of a play around and ‘spruced down’ a jif logo that I created a while back. I really quite like the whole acid effect, and besides, it’s a fun little lunch time activity!

Let me know what you think..

Hi there everybody, some of you may remember the BT Tower poster I created a while back - it’s also been selling in the Created in Birmingham shop - well, I’ve made another! This one is based on the railway arches of Digbeth, Birmingham.

We are going to be putting it up for sale along with our other prints in the CiB shop in the Bullring, so if you like the look of it, or think it would make a nice set for those of you who have bought the BT Tower print, pop along and have a nosey!

I’ll update you when it officially goes on sale.
