On Tuesday 3rd November 2009 Matt Lees, Sue Coles and I (Nathan Monk) took a 110 mile trip to the UK capital, London. Whilst in London we decided to give Airside a visit.
Back in 2008 we exhibited at Plus International Design Festival where we met lots of characters; one whom was Jamie Wieck from Airside.

Thursday joiner is back. I was away on my summer hols last week to sunny Skegness.
The theme of holidays kind of comes through in this weeks joiner. Nath was due to take his tour of Europe this week, making use of the money he won through the Louisa Anne Ryland award, but unfortunately a couple of arrangements fell through so he has been forced to postpone for a while. One of his stops is set to be Paris, one of my personal favourite cities, and this got me thinking about a bunch of photographs I had taken while holidaying a couple of years back, and never got round to doing anything with.
So I raided my old Mac, trawled through thousands of photographs, eventually finding the ones I was looking for and here we are!
I love to take photographs of my holidays, especially joiners as I feel they capture the atmosphere of a place over a few minutes. A change in cloud cover or lighting, the movement of vehicles and the changing expressions of people carrying on with everyday life, all fascinate me. Do you have a particular favourite travel photo? If you would like it featured in our blog then mail it across to hello@wearesmile.com, or pop into the studio.
